Djokovic held on to a tight match at the U.S. Open last night. After pulling ahead 2 sets to none, Andy Roddick fought back to a quick 6-3 set over Novak Djokovic - the current number 3 player in the world.
However, despite earning another break in the 4th set, Djokovic was able to break back into a tie-breaker, where he edged out Roddick without needing to go into the 5th set.
Djokovic faces a tough (perhaps the toughest ever) opponent in Roger Federer, who has had a rough season so far. Currently world #2, but perhaps the best player in the history of the game, Federer comes off a 3 set victory which should leave him well rested for the match. Djokovic, however has 5 and 4 set matches which, along with his injuries, will make this a particularly difficult foe.
